Eva Buzo is the Executive Director of VAI.
She is a human rights lawyer with fifteen years of experience working with victims of human rights violations in East Africa, South Asia and Australia for organisations including World Vision, Save the Children and BRAC.
Eva has a MA from Hamburg University and a JD from Australian National University. Completing PhD in law at Queensland University of Technology on victim representation in international accountability mechanisms.
Eva is on the Justice Rapid Response roster as an international criminal investigation expert. Eva is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales. From September 2020 she will be joining Black Chambers in Sydney, Australia as a member of the New South Wales Bar Association.
In her spare time Eva is an avid musical theater fan and a marathon swimmer. She is currently training to swim the Cook Strait.
