James Douglas

Senior Legal Officer

James Douglas is the legal adviser of Victim Advocates International. He is a professional law expert with more than seven years of working experience in the fields of international criminal and international human rights law.

Prior to joining VAI, James served as a lawyer and investigator for the United Nations Khmer Rouge Tribunal and assisted the OHCHR Seoul's office on their accountability project on international crimes in the DPRK where he expertised on investigating and documenting mass atrocity crimes.

James also worked for Irish Rule of Law International for three years, where he led the organisation as Executive Director for one year, and Director of Programmes for the previous two.
