Clare Brown is the Deputy Director and co-founder of Victim Advocates International and is currently managing its projects in Somalia and Ethiopia.

She is the focal person from the VAI Secretariat for victim groups from these countries, working closely with VAI staff and our partner organisations in each. Clare is an international human rights lawyer with over ten years of experience working on accountability for human rights violations and international crimes, with a particular focus on access to justice for gendered violations.

She has worked with victim communities across East Africa, in Lebanon, and in Bangladesh, and is currently based in Nairobi, Kenya.
